When we think of Street Art, our thoughts immediately turn to graffiti writings or giant murals of the latest generation. But Street Art involves everything around us, it does not always involve walls, indeed, sometimes it must be sought in everyday life. I am reminded of an artist I adore, David Zinn who, with a few strokes of chalk, gives life to small creatures that animate everyday life, often the inspiration is three leaves, a branch… At the Rhine Side Gallery, in Krefeld, Germany, I was also able to express myself on a small natural element. In this case a broken stone broken. Given the naturalistic element and the proximity to water and woods, I was inspired by Froud’s Fairies!
