The strange coincidences of life … on Saturday 16 September (’17) I went to Modena, to a fair on comics … ‘Modena Nerd’, a day of leisure. While we are in the various aisles I come across the area set up of TEMPORARY BRICKS, an area dedicated to the world of Lego world lovers (the wonderful colored bricks) born from the idea of: LE COCCINELLE by G.Luca Pucci; under the ICARO project (http://www.icaroduepuntozero.it/) in collaboration with the Modenese association MOCBRICK (http://www.mocbricks.it/) and BRICKARO (http://www.brickaro.it/)
Between a banquet and the other I see a stand that presents the Lego “men”, but in plaster and others almost 40 cm, completely white and neutral, in a beautiful box also supplied with colors and brushes …. and my curiosity, I has dragged. It was a small contest, to be done on site, customizing a character with colors. I couldn’t resist and went to work. Also because in addition to a possible prize, which consisted of a Lego product voucher, I was attracted by the idea that the non-winning works would be intended to cheer up the pediatrics of the Modena hospital, and I am always ready to give a smile to a child, I had already done it years ago for the Mantua Hospital.
My work came second, but with much more joy they asked me if my little Wonder Woman, with 3 other works by artists from the world of comics, could be included in an auction, the proceeds of which go to the charity . The thing cheered me more than the actual victory !!!
The details will follow, so after the Pigotta d’Autore, I can also mention an Author’s Lego !!!!
Thanks again to the MOCBricks Staff for the support !!!!!
